Arkansas
This funding has been available to state residents attending internship programs in Washington, D.C. and abroad who are enrolled at public and private institutions within the state. Amounts have ranged from $4,000-$6,000 toward program fees. We are currently uncertain about the availability of funding for 2012. |

Delaware
Applicants attending public institutions in Delaware may be eligible for state-based financial assistance.
Award amount: $6,000
Eligibility:
Students must attend Delaware State University. |

Florida
Applicants attending four-year public institutions in Florida may be eligible for state-based financial assistance.
Award amount: $7,500
Eligibility:
Students must attend four-year public institutions in Florida and receive at least six credits for their participation. |

Iowa
Applicants attending public institutions in Iowa may be eligible for state-based financial assistance.
Award amount: $1,200
Eligibility:
Students must be residents of Iowa and attend Iowa State University, the University of Iowa or the University of Northern Iowa. |

Students must attend a four-year public institution in the state of Kentucky. |

Maryland
Applicants attending institutions in Maryland may be eligible for state-based financial assistance. Award amounts for all remaining terms in 2009, as well as eligibility criteria, are summarized below.

Eligibility:
Students must attend four-year public colleges and universities or selected community colleges in Maryland. They must also be residents of Maryland. |

Massachusetts
Applicants attending four-year public institutions in Massachusetts may be eligible for state-based financial assistance.
Award amount: $5,000
Eligibility:
Students must attend four-year public institutions in Massachusetts. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher and must be residents of Massachusetts. |

New Jersey
All applicants attending institutions in New Jersey may be eligible for state-based financial assistance
(See note below regarding The Richard Stockton University).
Award amount: $1,000
Eligibility:
Students attending any institution in New Jersey may receive these awards. Students attending The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey are eligible, by arrangement with the university, to receive $1,700 for the summer term. |

Eligibility:
Students must attend selected public or private colleges and universities; the scholarships available may be limited and awarded at the institution's discretion.

Pennsylvania
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has provided generous funding within recent years. Most recently, this funding has been available to students attending Pennsylvania State University System (PASSHE) institutions. Amounts have ranged from $2,500-$5,500 toward program or housing fees.

Applicants attending four-year public Tennessee Board of Regents institutions may be eligible for state-based financial assistance.

Eligibility:
Students must attend Austin Peay State University, East Tennessee State University, Middle Tennessee State University, Tennessee Technological University, Tennessee State University or The University of Memphis. |
